I am sure that many of you must have encountered some people who consider themselves to be larger than the system or feeling of a proud of “I am the divine flame!”. Let me share a beautiful story first and then will talk about spirituality and astrology a bit.

Once the creator of universe Lord Brahma thought that what a beautiful universe he created and he was filled in pride. Thinking like he is the supreme, he thought, let me take some rest, the world will anyway move on. While he was sleeping, there were different kinds of problem started happening on earth like no rain, drought, etc. Meanwhile, there was a Brahmin family on earth in which there were ten Brahmin Kumars. The pathetic living conditions on the earth impacted them as well. When the father was not able to fulfill the daily needs of the family through alms, he asked all his young sons to go to the mountains and pray to the lord.

The ten Brahmin Kumars prayed to the supreme lord. They did very tough rituals and sacrifices, and finally, the supreme lord was pleased. The Supreme Lord appeared before the Brahmin Kumars and asked what they want? They said that they wanted a better universe. The supreme lord granted their wish. So there were now ten parallel universe one each managed by one Brahmin Kumars. When Lord Brahma woke up, he was shocked to see ten universes, equally better than his. When Brahma mediated, he realized that Supreme power wanted to teach him a lesson that “no one is replaceable” in this universe, not even Lord Brahma, who created this universe. When Brahma realized his mistake and felt embarrassed, the universe came back to its order.

In our mundane life, we come across many people who think that they are irreplaceable, either in someone’s personal life, workplace, relationships, partnership, etc. And this ignorance gives one a false sense of pride and deviates one from the path of Karma of why one is born. That is why in the Shastras it is said that the biggest enemy of a person is Ego. That’s why one of the famous poets said

जब मैं था तब हरी नहीं, अब हरी है मैं नाही ।

सब अँधियारा मिट गया, दीपक देखा माही ।

So next time, when you meet someone full of pride thinking one as irreplaceable, please remember this story and smile.
